Hello Aethernauts,
As noted last month, I'll be sending out these updates around the end of each month, just to make sure communication is constant and consistent and that we're all kept on the same page. So let's review where we are!
DRAFT MANUSCRIPT LINK
I'll be including a link back to the draft manuscripts in these updates because it'll be a while before we get our Backer PDF version and in the meantime I'm sure some will misplace any downloaded copies. I'll keep this bit here in future updates until our backer PDFs go out.
Our main book, the Trinity Continuum: Aether rulebook, has moved through editing and is now in post-editing development, where the developer takes one last pass to ensure the voice is consistent throughout the book and all of the bits and pieces that were caught in editing have been corrected. I think our jumpstart may be further along that I belive, since I'm showing some preliminary art direction has begun. We'll see what that says in our next update, in case it gets moved. The Aethernaut Collection is in final draft status, while the Aether audio drama is in redlines.

Welcome to our first monthly status check in. Normally, I'll send these out at the end of the month, but I'm sending this one out a week or so early because I want to let you know about some rewards that are ready for distribution. As noted in earlier updates, we've got Add Ons and options for existing titles that are currently available in PDF, so why wait? Let's get those out to you!
Before we get to that, though, let's have a survey reminder for those final 12% that haven't responded yet!
BACKERKIT SURVEY
It's been a few weeks since we started the Backerkit survey process, and we've just passed the 88% response threshold so I've got some real data to look at and orders to start fulfilling. We use BackerKit to fulfill all of our rewards, so please fill out your survey and start your BackerKit TrinityContinuum: Aether page if you haven't already.

Many of the rewards for our kickstarter projects take a lot of time and effort to complete. Usually, the kickstarter is a means of moving the project from an idea (even when it's a mostly-fully-written idea) into the actual channel that turns it into a project/product. It'll be a while before we're ready to talk about delivery on TrinityContinuum: Aether, and even longer for our projects generated via Stretch Goals (the Aethernaut Collection, Aether jumpstart, Aether Audio Drama, the VTT token packs,and the rest).
That said, there are a few rewards that are available now, as they were mostly add-on PDFs of existing products. And now we can work on getting those out to you over the week.

REWARD DISTRIBUTION
Your link to claim these digital rewards will be sent out by our BackerKit pledge manager over the nextfew days. Since we are using our partners at DriveThruRPG as the hosts for these, you will need to set up a DriveThru account if you don't have one already. Thebest way to ensure these redemption codes work smoothly is to log in to your DTRPG account first, and then click (or copy) the link shown in your BackerKit.
Again, you will receive an e-mail from BackerKit with links for these rewards over the next 2 days if any of them are on your expected list of rewards. I'll be releasing them in waves, so don't panic if you only see a couple links at first... the rest are coming. (We're in a digital world, but there are still a lot of manual processes. And there are manylinks to go out!!)

And with the surveys up and running and that big wave of existing titles about to be distributed to backers, it's time to monitor the monthly progress on our Kickstarter rewards from this campaign. There's still a long road ahead and a lot of work to be done on these projects, but we're going to have these regular updates at the end of each month to keep track of where we sit on our rewards.
MONTHLY UPDATES
We're still in the earliest stages of this post-campaign, where projects make incremental movements along the progress path. A lot of months will be pretty similar, just a quick note to let you know that the Onyx Path team is still working on it. Any time we have a new reward or something of interest to share, I'll include that as well.
At the end of each month, I'll include a summary of our rewards and their current status (they'll either be delivered or marked as still pending, possibly with additional details if I know more). I'll also list any relevant Update posts, in case you want to go back and check into something.
As noted, it's been just about three weeks since we launched our BackerKit Post-Campaign Pledge Manager, and most of you have visited, confirmed your pledge as well as reviewing (and maybe adding on) Add On rewards.
In addition to notes on our reward status, each month I'll also include the BackerKit links and my How To PDF notes, as well as contact information in case you need to get in touch, and a link back to our compiled draft manuscript.

As noted, we're in the very earliest stages of this project. Our main reward, the Aether book, is in post-approval development, which means the latest manuscript draft has been reviewed and approved by all of the bosses and developers and guardians of the Trinity Continuum and is now undergoing one more round of development to ensure the book is written in a consistent voice throughout before moving on to editing.
The Aether book will eventually come to us in three forms - first, the PDF, which will be sent out as an Advance PDF to all backers when it's ready and allow us one last chance to review and offer suggestions and corrections before it's finalized. Once that's done, work will begin on the finalizing the Print-On-Demand version of the PDF which will be released through DriveThruRPG via their printing partners, and of course the big reward, the hardcover book which will come when all of the dots are filled in across the top row. It'll take some time, but we'll get to see that slowly happen month to month.
In terms of our Stretch Goals, the jumpstart is in earliest forms, with outlines being created and writers assigned, while the Aethernaut Collection and Audio Drama are now finishing up in first draft status before being handed off to the developers for redlines (the revision and re-writing process).
In addition to the Aether-specific rewards listed here, there are two other ADD ON options that should be noted. Trinity Continuum: Adventure! is currently in proofing, and once that's approved I'll be sending out the Advance PDF to backers who've added that to their rewards list. Similarly, Trinity Continuum: Anima is currently in art direction and some time away. Backers who have added that title to their rewards will have access to the draft manuscript for Anima in their BackerKit rewards and will receive the Advance PDF once it's available in the future.

As noted in our update from last week, it's time for the Pledge Manager to open up and they survey process to start!
Starting next month I will send out the first of our regular month end updates. Near the end of each month, I will be sending out an update with status notes on our main projects as well as the Stretch Goal projects we added. As noted in previous updates, these projects take a long time to put together. You've seen the manuscript preview PDFs, but there are still many moving pieces and puzzles to solve in turning these manuscripts into awesome books. These month-end updates ensure that communication is constant and consistent, and that we're all on the same page with regards to where we stand.
That's info for theend of October,though. Let's talk about this now instead, because...

But, before we begin all of that - I hope everyone's keeping safe and managing through our current times as best possible. I don't know how things will look as the world continues to change, but hoping the best for all of you.
BACKER SURVEYS
Over the next few days, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey (although that may help keep things organized if you've got multiple projects going.) When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey invitation link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
The e-mail will look something like this:
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts, and that won't happen until the books are printed and we're preparing to ship.

Upgrade your Reward Tier pledge selection
Confirm Add On selections
Set up payment information for any failed payments from the Kickstarter campaign or to pay for any new Add On options selected.

From the BackerKit welcome page you can choose to
Review Your Pledge Level and Rewards
Start Your Survey, confirming pledge rewards, confirming or selecting new Add On options, and confirming any shipping and payment info that may be needed
Switch Your Pledge Level
If you've pledged to a reward tier that includes physical rewards, you can enter your shipping country at this stage. As noted during our campaign, we haven't set international shipping costs yet - those will be calculated and added in when we're preparing to ship the book. That won't be for a long time, though, and there will be plenty of opportunity - and notice - for you to make changes.
If you select your Pledge Level, you will see a list of all items included in your Pledge Rewards, and also have the option to upgrade your Pledge Level, in case you've decided to get the hardcover instead of just the PDF for example.
Once you've confirmed that your Pledge Level is correct and where you want it to be, you can GETSTARTED with your BackerKit Pledge Manager Survey.
Once we've got a fair response to our survey and collected a reasonable amount of info, I'll be working on fulfilling rewards that are available now - like the PDFs of the titles included in our Add On section (for example, Trinity Continuum Core Rules, Trinity Continuum: Æon, Trinity Continuum: Aberrant, the digital bundles, and a few other titles...). THAT will be coming around mid-October. Or maybe sooner, if we can manage it.
So, in summary:

Get Started on your survey
Confirm your Pledge Level (or SWITCH your Pledge Level if you want to change it)
Confirm and Select Any Add On options
Confirm Your Shipping Information (if needed)

I will post an update in another week or two as I begin outlining the delivery of our first Add On rewards (the existing PDF titles, as noted above) and beginning distribution of those PDF rewards.

Greetings, Aethernauts!
Wow, another great Trinity Continuum campaign! I'm a big fan of this line and the various eras that have been explored thus far, and have really been taken by Aether and all of the possibilities held within the Victorian Age of the Continuum.
And it doesn't seem like I'm alone! We crossed the "magical" 1,000 Backer line on this one (with a total of 1,100 backers joining in for this campaign, the final two joining just minutes before the end!), which shows how alive and well the Trinity Continuum is in this era.
WE DID IT!
Working together, we funded the development and printing of Trinity Continuum: Aether, a brand new "non-classic" era/genre/setting exploration for the Trinity Continuum. Stepping outside of the original trinity of titles (Adventure, Aberrant, Æon) is always a journey into the unknown, and I'm so glad that Ian and Matthew and the whole Aether team have been met with such a positive reaction and reception.
I do sing the Dora the Explorer theme in my head every time I type We Did It.
And it's not only the funding of the book! We've had a great ride, picking up backers and unlocking Stretch Goals along every stretch of the campaign. We've added several bonus rewards - small celebrations for milestones marked along the way - as well as new content for those who want even more Aether!

That's excellent! We were only at nine just 48 hours ago! It's been a fantastic few final days!
Those celebrations and milestone markers along the way are fun - I certainly like having something to mark our accomplishments during the campaign and they help keep the enthusiasm up. But I really really love when we can add additional content, especially in the form of Jumpstarts (which Onyx Path does really well!) and interesting new things like the audio drama and especially the Aethernaut Colleciton supplement.
And all of that is, of course, on top of our main purpose here - the creating of the actual book itself! This is the real reward - everything else is a bonus!
No unspinning this success! Aether is here to stay (at least in this world!)
So a huge congratulations to the creative team on this project, and to all of the backers who've joined in to make this possible. I'm happy about the goals we hit and rewards we introduced, but I'm also always amazed and excited about having more than a thousand backers join in during this campaign. Having 1,100 backers is amazing! Crossing that 1,000 Backer Count is a big achievement, and then getting an extra 100 beyond that is so satisfying!

And a personal thanks to everyone who participated online, either in the comments section of the kickstarter, and on social media around the web. Thanks to everyone who's kept the mystery about the aether and the martians and left it for other future players to discover on their own. There's obviously a lot going on in the world right now - a lot of ongoing challenges to be dealt with - but it's been really great to see the community come together to support this project and turn it into a big success.
